Storm Waters - Director
Storm started Storms Contracting in 2006. He was born and bred in Pauanui and came into the world operating a digger. Storm loves hunting, fishing and caravanning.
Amy Tamihere
Business Operations Manager
Amy is Storms Contracting main contact, she runs Storms Contracting smoothly and efficiently. Amy was born and bred in Auckland and relocated to Pauanui in 2020 with her daughter to be closer to family and enjoy a slower paced lifestyle. Amy is very enthusiastic, positive and enjoys a wine or two on the beach.
Dion - Plant Operator
Dion has been with Storms Contracting since 2018. Dion started with the company operating a 2T Digger and quickly moved up into 5T - 20T Diggers to become an asset to the company. Dion loves Diggers, but in his off-time he enjoys inline hockey and working around his home.
Riki - Yard and Workshop
Riki is our main man when it comes to visiting our yard. Riki keeps all our machinery in tip top shape ensuring all plant equipment is well serviced and maintained. He was born in Whakatane, bred in the Coromandel and enjoys spending time with his mokos and tinkering around his whare in Tairua and a cold one doesn’t ever go astray.
Dale - Plant Operator
Dale has been with Storms Contracting since 2011. Dale is our larger fleet operator and is certainly a favourite with customers who often request him personally. Dale is a huge asset to Storms Contracting due to his experience in operating he also knows the Coromandel region well as he was born and bred here. Dale enjoys helicopter hunting, rodeo clowning, speedway and is our biggest car enthusiast burning rubber in his bright blue Camaro on his days off.
John - Truck Operator
John started working as a Truck driver for Storms Contracting in 2018, prior to Storms Contracting John was a Truck driver for Fulton Hogan for 20 years. John has been driving trucks for the bulk of his life and is amazing at it. When John isn’t in his Kenworth he is on his motorbike travelling all over, John loves classic cars and has a few in his collection too.
Brad - Plant Operator
Brad started with Storms Contracting in 2023 from a Tier 1 company in Auckland, Brad brings a various high set of skills with him. He resides in Whitianga and enjoys hunting, fishing and the outdoors.
Shaun - Plant Operator
Shaun has come from a farming background working with live stock and in various machinery. When Shaun isn’t in a machine he spends his time with his partner and two children along with hunting and fishing.
Geoff - Truck Operator
Geoff started working for Storms Contracting in 2023, Geoff is a great asset to the company being able to drive various trucks including tipulators, semi and transport trailers, Geoff likes to spend his time off with his animals
Andrew - Labourer
Andrew began his journey with Storms Contracting in October 2023, coming on board as a labourer with very little industry knowledge. Since joining the team, he has vastly improved his skill set. Andrew was born in England but raised in New Zealand. He spends his free time with his family, enjoying video games, fishing, rock hounding and mycelium hunting.
Michael - Plant Operator
Michael started working for Storms Contracting in 2019. Michael is an all rounder, Michael operates diggers, drives trucks and is our main labourer. Michael was born and bred in Thames, he worked for Hopper Construction for 18 years. He enjoys water skiing, hiking and motorbike racing.
Geoff - Truck Operator

Jacko - Truck Operator
Jacko has been with Storms Contracting since 2020. Jacko was born and bred in Auckland. Jacko worked for Ward Demolition for 17 years prior to heading over to the Coromandel. When Jacko isn’t driving a truck he is riding his Harley and enjoys Motorsports and Nass Car racing.
Michael - Jack of all Trades
Michael started working for Storms Contracting in 2019. Michael is an all rounder, Michael operates diggers, drives trucks and is our main labourer. Michael was born and bred in Thames, he worked for Hopper Construction for 18 years. He enjoys water skiing, hiking and motorbike racing.
